MB congratulates Tengku Permaisuri Selangor on proclamation as UiTM pro-chancellor

SHAH ALAM, June 14 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has congratulated Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin on the proclamation of Her Royal Highness as new Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) pro-chancellor.

The proclamation took place at Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor here in conjunction with the university’s 93rd convocation ceremony today.

“I congratulate Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin on the proclamation as UiTM pro-chancellor during the university’s 93rd convocation ceremony held at Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor,” he said on Facebook.

Earlier, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who is UiTM Chancellor, consented to the proclamation of Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin as the new UiTM pro-chancellor.

The proclamation of Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin as the new UiTM pro-chancellor is for the period of three years, from October 18, 2021 until October 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, Al-Sultan Abdullah, in his speech, described the proclamation of Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin as the new UiTM pro-chancellor as apt being that UiTM is a university with historical heritage values ​​connected with Selangor.

“Hopefully, with this proclamation, it will open a new chapter for UiTM to continue to be elevated as a renowned public education institution in the country,” said His Majesty.
