NaDI loans made easier to encourage more women entrepreneurs — MB

SHAH ALAM, June 27 — The state government will make it easier for applicants to take out loans under the Niaga Darul Ehsan Scheme (NaDI) so as to bring about more successful women in business.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said financing of up to RM5,000 by Yayasan Hijrah Selangor is in line with the wish to see more Selangor citizens have enough funds to sustain their lives.

“Building a business or finding extra income for the family has been made easier for women in Selangor with NaDI. The scheme is open to those who wish to start small-scale businesses.

“The channelling of revolving business capital is also easy, quick and not burdensome. As long as there is willpower, we will make it easier for the applicants to seek funds so more successful women can be produced,” he said in a Facebook post.

Via the Kita Selangor Package, the state government has allocated an initial RM10 million to aid traders in obtaining a loan plan of RM1,000 to RM5,000, as well as choosing between a funding period of six months to three years.

This year, Hijrah is targeting approximately 1,722 applicants for NaDI, with a funding amount of RM8.61 million.

Open to women and all races, interested individuals can apply at www.hijrahselangor.com or contact the financing officer at Hijrah Selangor’s 20 branches.
