SHAH ALAM, June 8 — A total of 1,800 recipients of the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) are urged to come to the Kinrara constituency community service centre to collect their Jom Shopping vouchers.

Its state assemblyman Ng Sze Han said the RM100 vouchers are given to senior citizens who celebrate their birthdays from March to June.

“To all SMUE members in Kinrara whose birthdays fall between March to June, please bring your identity card to the Kinrara community service centre from 10am to 5pm to claim the voucher.

“The distribution of the Jom Shopping vouchers began yesterday until June 21. Hopefully this donation will cheer up the recipient’s birthday celebration,” he told SelangorKini.

Those seeking to inquire or further information can contact the Kinrara state constituency community service centre at 03-8082 1661.

SMUE was first introduced over a decade ago as a mark of appreciation for Selangor senior citizens, with each person benefiting from shopping vouchers and ‘duit khairat kematian’ or death benefit payments.

The 2022 Selangor Budget allocated RM27.5 million for the continuation of this year’s SMUE programme.
