PKR national congress postponed to July 15 — July 17

KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s (PKR) annual national congress, which was set for June 24 to June 26, has been postponed to July 15 to July 17.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the postponement was to enable the PKR Election Committee (JPP) to manage and resolve several matters raised related to the recent party elections.

“The Central Leadership Council (MPP) has examined several findings and recommendations tabled by the committee regarding the complaint process, especially on the unofficial 2022 party election results.

“After due consideration, the council decided on the new dates after taking into account the time required for the committee to manage and resolve issues raised and give sufficient time to the new branch leadership to make several appointments,” he said in a statement today.

Saifuddin said the PKR congress will be held at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC), Shah Alam, Selangor, and will begin with Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) and Wanita Keadilan congress on July 15, followed by the national congress the next day.

AMK and PKR Wanita congress was initially scheduled to take place on June 24.
