Plats intensify efforts to register more F&B traders

By Khairul Azran Hussin

SHAH ALAM, June 27 — The Selangor Digital Partner (RDS) ambassadors have been mobilised throughout the state to get food and beverage (F&B) traders to register for the Selangor Platform (Plats) programme.

Plats coordinator Azizul Hussin said the initiative is among the state’s efforts to transform businesses towards digitalisation thus helping the traders to increase their daily sales.

“The RDS ambassadors will find small traders and hawkers to digitalise their business by registering them in the Plats directory to increase their sales.

“Our target is to get all food and beverage traders registered under Plat, so that if people want to find a place to eat they can access Plats to check out the various shops and locations,” he said during the Borak Santai talk show held at the Selangor Penyayang roadshow, which was broadcasted on Selangor TV yesterday.

Plats were introduced during the Ramadan period two years ago, to complete the Selangor Digitalization Agenda ecosystem with a digital platform, following the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic.

On April 11 last year, Plats 2.0 was launched to help traders generate continuous income, instead of being limited to the fasting month only.

The third iteration of the virtual platform was continued this year in April, which also involved collaboration with the RDS, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) and 12 local councils.
