PNSB to build over 45,000 Rumah Idaman units at strategic locations

By Zareef Muzammil

KAJANG, June 25 — Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) will develop 45,760 units of Rumah Idaman through 24 projects at various strategic locations.

Its chief executive officer Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim said among the locations include Gombak, Sepang, Kuala Langat, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam.

He said hopefully the development would be able to help those in the low-income group (B40) and middle-income group (M40) to realise their dreams of owning their first house.

“At this moment, a total of 4,631 units are under construction involving three projects and the response was very encouraging as almost all of the units have been sold.

“This project is a testament towards our commitment to the people of Selangor, therefore state citizens are advised to grab this chance to own their dream home,” he said when delivering his speech at the Rumah Idaman handover ceremony in Semenyih yesterday.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari handed over the keys to the house buyers during the ceremony. Also present at the event was the state executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail.

Commenting further, Raja Ahmad Shahrir said PNSB was faced with many challenges when construction of Rumah Idaman started in 2019, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, he said they managed to overcome every challenge due to strong collaboration with the state government and the developer, Trans Loyal Development Sdn Bhd.

“The Covid-19 virus has affected the construction sector, but the developer strived and determined to complete the construction of Rumah Idaman within the stipulated period.

“Rumah Idaman has a practical layout and was built using the aluminium mould construction method that saves costs and speeds up the process. In fact, its interior fittings are almost fully furnished” he said.

Rumah Idaman, with a square footage of 999 square feet and a price tag of RM250,000, is located in strategic areas close to several facilities, including schools, hospitals, and road access.

Each unit offers two parking spaces, three bedrooms with air conditioning, two bathrooms with water heaters, a kitchen cabinet, a television, a refrigerator, and a built-in wardrobe.
