SHAH ALAM, June 8 — A total of RM1.3 million has been allocated to repair 12 damaged roads in the Bukit Melawati state constituency for this year.

Its state assemblyman Juwairiya Zulkifli said the project will use the allocation funds from the Malaysian Road Records Information System (Marris).

“We often get complaints from residents that the surface of some roads here is quite bad and we are concerned this poses a danger to users.

“Therefore, I have decided to use the Marris allocation for the Bukit Melawati state constituency to repair these roads for the convenience of all,” she told SelangorKini.

Juwairiya said the repair works on all the affected roads are being done in stages with five routes thus far completed and fully open for public use.

“I hope road users, especially residents, feel safer and comfortable with the maintenance works that have been done and will be able to make the best use of it,” she said.

Among the roads listed for repairs include Jalan Kilang in Kampung Api-Api, Jalan Kampung India Batu 7 Asahan in Bestari Jaya, Jalan Raja Uda and Jalan Pauh.
