Road closure in PJ from Friday to Sunday in conjunction with MBPJ’s 16th anniversary

SHAH ALAM, June 23 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has announced that Jalan Yong Shook Lin in Section 52, will be closed for three days starting tomorrow in conjunction with the council’s 16th anniversary.

The city council also informed that traffic diversion will be conducted in the area starting from Friday at 12.01am until Sunday at 11.59pm.

On June 18, Petaling Jaya mayor Mohamad Azhan Md Amir had said the highlight of MBPJ’s 16th-anniversary celebration this year would be a parade involving 40 teams.

He said taking part in the parade are various departments, government agencies and community groups who are involved in helping MBPJ develop Petaling Jaya.

“The parade will be held at Laman MBPJ. The teams will march for about 500 metres to showcase their creativity.

“We will also hold 33 other events such as exhibitions, sales, competitions and tournaments that involve various parties,” he said.
