SHAH ALAM, June 27 — The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has opened the second phase of its Sustainable Community Special Grant with a RM50,000 allocation.

The local authority said the second phase was opened up due to the enthusiastic public response before this, where a RM100,000 allocation was handed out to 21 recipients on June 15.

“MPHS welcomes Hulu Selangor residents to forward proposal papers for programmes or projects with the main core of green technology and the environment.

“The application form can be downloaded at https://bit.ly/GERANMAMPANFASA2 or at www.mphs.gov.my,” it said in a Facebook post.

Applicants must submit their applications before or on Juny 15. Those seeking further information may contact the secretariat via WhatsApp at 019-6346327.

Earlier on MPHS introduced the Sustainable Community Special Grant with the aim of increasing public awareness on the importance of environmental care.

Council president Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd said the grant is the start of green and sustainable programmes organised by the local community.
