Selangor Penyayang roadshow continues in Kuala Selangor this Saturday

SHAH ALAM, June 28 — The Selangor Penyayang roadshow to introduce various new and improved initiatives to the people will be held at Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor, on July 2.

The programme will be officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudn Shari and starts from 8am to 5.30pm.

The roadshow is aimed at promoting Selangor welfare initiatives, with participation from 23 state subsidiaries.

The initiative is realised with an RM350 million allocation, replacing the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat programme so that more people can benefit from the state government’s programmes.

This includes Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) which replaces Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss) and will help up to 30,000 families compared to 25,000 before.

Various activities have been organised for the event, which was launched on June 19 in Taman Kosas Ampang, including musical performances by artists such as Wany Hasrita, aerobics, cooking competitions, flower arrangements, people’s sports, skateboarding, e-sports and blood donations.

Also to be carried out during the roadshow is the handover of aid by the Selangor Poverty Eradication Blueprint as well as the Selangor Micro Entrepreneur Fund, a programme by the Association of Wives and Women Members of the Malaysian Civil Service (Puspanita) Selangor and the Selangor Saring free health screening to detect chronic ailments.

Last Saturday, the roadshow was held at Dataran Pantai Morib, Kuala Langat and was met with enthusiastic responses from visitors.

On July 16, the event will be held at Dataran Boulevard at Laman MBPJ (Petaling Jaya City Council), followed by the Padang Awam Batu Caves in Gombak on July 31.
