SIBS 2022: Registration for exhibitors now open

By Nasuha Badrul Huzaini

SHAH ALAM, June 2 — The Selangor International Business Summit 2022 (SIBS 2022) is now open for registration to exhibitors, with hundreds of booths available.

Organised by Invest Selangor Bhd (Invest Selangor), the state government-backed trade conference and exhibition series will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from October 6 to 9.

Starting from RM600 per square metre or US$150 (for international exhibitors) for each booth, industry players are welcome to participate in the event as it provides a platform to explore the Asean and global market.

Themed “Selangor the Gateway to Asean”, Invest Selangor said the event had brought together global brands and congregated industry players worldwide since its inception in 2016.

“By participating in the summit, the exhibitors could stand a chance to meet and collaborate with key players and decision-makers aside from getting access to thousands of industry professionals.

“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, SIBS was held in hybrid mode last year, and it will return to a physical event this year.

“The return of the physical summit aimed to revive the economic development from various industrial sectors and services sectors that were previously affected by the pandemic,” said Invest Selangor.

SIBS 2022 will showcase six main components: the Selangor International Expo (SIE) Food and Beverages, SIE Medic, Selangor Industrial Park Expo, the Selangor Asean Business Conference, the Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Convention and the Selangor Research and Development and Innovation Expo.

The sixth edition of the international trade event seeks to attract at least 30,000 visitors and the participation of 850 booths.

Last year, SIBS achieved a potential transaction value of RM217.6 million and attracted over 25,410 visitors, surpassing the initial set target of 10,000 visitors.
