Smart road management system offers effective solution to prevent damaged roads — MB

SHAH ALAM, June 3 — Selangor plans to expand its Smart Road Asset Management System by using integrated and new technology to address damaged road issues in the state.

Menter Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the system would utilise smart drones, 360-degree cameras, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) monitoring for quicker and more efficient solutions.

He said users could also lodge reports once the integrated social media system is developed.

“This would result in a better and more efficient road management system that is more holistic with a real-time solution concept.

“So far, the Pubic Works Department (JKR) has utilised the technology,” said Amirudin on Facebook today.

In line with the Smart Selangor 2025 vision, Amirudin said the effort would improve the quality of public service and also prove the state government’s efforts in facing the changing times.
