SHAH ALAM, June 30 — Team Selangor volunteers have continued its clean-up programme at Sungai Kedondong, Batang Kali, on June 25.

Its chief secretariat Syahaizel Keman said a total of 25 volunteers have participated in the activity conducted with the Nomura company.

“We managed to collect and remove 95 kilogrammes of rubbish that consisted of food containers, drinking straws and various types of plastic.

“This is not our first clean-up activity and we will continue it to increase awareness among the community on the importance of caring for the ecosystem,” he told SelangorKini.

Team Selangor started its clean-up activity last year with a focus on heavily visited areas.

The first location chosen was at Pantai Remis in Jeram, followed by Sungai Sekamat in Kajang and later along the river in Hulu Selangor.
