First Selangor Plan to form state’s resilience in facing future challenges

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

PETALING JAYA, July 16 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1) works to build strong resilience for the state to face future challenges in an increasingly complex environment.

Political secretary to the Menteri Besar Juwairiya Zulkifli said the plan to achieve Selangor’s agenda as a Smart State by 2025 was established in an orderly manner and described as a living document.

“The development of RS-1 is based on four main strategic cores, namely to strengthen the economic sector, building people’s welfare, social inclusion, driving the sustainability agenda and improving the efficiency of governance.

“The initiative was thoroughly discussed and acts as a living document, following new challenges that have never been encountered,” she said when reading the Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari’s text speech today.

The speech was delivered in conjunction with the Selangor Digital Entrepreneur Roadshow, organised by Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) at Dewan Sivik MBPJ (Petaling Jaya City Council) here, today.

On July 7, Amirudin launched the First Selangor Plan 2021 – 2025 Symposium at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre.

The Menteri Besar informed that RS-1 focused on four main cores including economy, social, sustainability and governance to achieve the Smart State Agenda by 2025.
