Jualan Ehsan records RM230,000 in sales within four days in conjunction with Aidiladha

SHAH ALAM, July 14 — The Jualan Ehsan carnival that was held for four days in conjunction with the Aidiladha celebration last week saw a total of RM230,000 in sales.

Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) chief executive officer Dr Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said the figure shows that the state government’s attempt to help ease the peoples’ burden had received positive responses.

“The response was very good. We recorded RM52,000 in sales value on the first day, followed by RM56,000 on the second, and RM46,000 on the third.

“On the final day, the programme was held in two locations with a total sales value of RM76,000.

“Each carnival ran for a short period, only within three to four hours,” he said.

In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha festival, the Jualan Ehsan carnival was held in Sijangkang, Bukit Beruntung, Tanjung Sepat, Gombak and Pandan from July 5 to 8.

Among the goods that were offered at the carnival include whole chicken priced at RM15 each, grade B eggs at RM12 per tray, cooking oil at RM2 per packet, fresh meat at RM35 per kilogramme and frozen fish at RM8 per packet.

Also included are rice, glutinous rice, mini ketupat, flour, bottled cooking oil and sugar, which were sold at a discounted price.
