KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 — A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.7 on the Richter Scale, struck southern Sumatera in Indonesia at 7.46am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
It occurred 62 km south of Bengkulu at a depth of 63 km, the department said in a statement.
The quake did not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia, it said.
