KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 — A total of 70 Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) staff received the Excellent Service Awards 2022, last night.
The local authority also presented three special awards during the ceremony held at Dewan Perkasa, Ministry of Defense (Mindef) here.
Its deputy president Julaihah Jamaluddin said the ceremony also awarded five creative innovation groups who had made MPAJ famous at the national and international levels.
“These awards are a manifestation of MPAJ’s appreciation and recognition towards the selected employees for them to continue to serve with excellence.
“It also aims to inspire other employees to compete in cultivating excellent work practices at all times in line with the people’s wishes,” she said in her speech at the awards ceremony.
The awards were presented by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari. Also present was the Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim.
Julaihah said they also presented appreciation awards to 12 retired staff and one staff member who died during service.
“All the recipients received RM1,000 in cash and a certificate of appreciation, while the retirees also received souvenirs,” she said.
