Nearly 30 pct women participation in new PKR leadership lineup

SHAH ALAM, July 22 — Newly elected Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Women’s deputy chief Juwairiya Zulkifli has welcomed the increased participation of women in the party’s leadership, including two female vice-presidents.

She also expressed satisfaction that PKR’s Central Leadership Council (MPP) selected and appointed 10 women including Nurul Izzah Anwar and Saraswathy Kandasamy, who represent 27 per cent of the MPP’s members lineup.

“For the first time in its history, PKR has boldly taken a proactive move by appointing Nurul Izzah Anwar and Saraswathy Kandasamy as vice-presidents.
