Positive impact from GM Klang’s ‘FAM Trip’ on Selangor tourism sector

SHAH ALAM, July 2 — The ‘FAM Trip Bersama Media Borneo 2022’ programme organised by the GM Klang Wholesale Centre (GM Klang) has had a positive impact on domestic tourism in Selangor.

GM Klang Brand Communications Manager Norsuhaida Othman said the tour programme to several interesting locations in Selangor involved media personnel from Sabah and Sarawak.

Norsuhaida said the programme which began on June 27 and ended yesterday managed to feature several interesting and unique locations in Selangor such as Klang town.

“Klang has the largest wholesale centre in Malaysia, namely GM Klang, which could potentially be the main attraction for tourists from Sabah and Sarawak who want a change in their shopping experience.

“Apart from offering various types of products that can be purchased wholesale, GM Klang also opens up opportunities for those who want to be involved in small businesses by taking sales stocks from wholesalers available here”, she said in a statement here yesterday.

She said the programme also received support from Tourism Selangor, Tourism Malaysia Sabah, Tourism Malaysia Sarawak and the Klang Municipal Council.

Among the highlights of the four-day, three-night programme were visits to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque, Shah Alam Lake Garden, Pulau Ketam, GM Klang, GM Bukit Bintang and several historical locations in Klang.
