SHAH ALAM, July 8 — The Selangor Penyayang roadshow to introduce various new and improved initiatives to the people in the Petaling district that was scheduled on July 23 has been moved forward to July 24.
The venue and time for the programme remain unchanged at Dataran Boulevard, Laman MBPJ (Petaling Jaya City Council) from 8am to 5.30pm.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is scheduled to officiate the programme that will also feature other activities including musical performances, aerobics, cooking competitions, flower arrangements, people’s sports, exhibition and sales.
The initiative is realised with an RM350 million allocation so that more people can benefit from the state government’s programmes.
Also included in the event is the Selangor Saring free health screening programme, with a total allocation of RM1.5 million and is expected to benefit 5,000 people especially those in risky groups.
Last month, the same event was held in Taman Kosas in Ampang Jaya, and Dataran Pantai Morib Kuala Langat which saw encouraging feedback.
The programme will conclude at Padang Awam Batu Caves, Gombak on July 31.
