Selangor Women’s Conference on Aug 23 to focus on post-pandemic life challenges

SHAH ALAM, July 6 — Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) has invited stakeholders to share their suggestions and research findings in ensuring the success of the upcoming Selangor Women’s Conference 2022 scheduled from August 23 to August 25.

The agency said its second conference, titled ‘Challenges for Women During Post-Pandemic: Towards a Fair, Prosperous and Inclusive Selangor‘, is the best medium to improve the quality and well-being of women’s lives during the post-pandemic era.

“Even though Malaysia has entered the transition into an endemic phase, there are still many issues and challenges faced by society, especially women, who in general have not fully recovered from the economic and health decline caused by Covid-19.

“Therefore, this conference is the best medium to share issues, challenges and research findings by stakeholders,” WBS said today.

When contacted, the organisers said WBS will announce the location of the conference in the near future.

The themes of this conference revolve around politics, economy, health, science and technology, gender mainstreaming, media, climate change, religion, safe cities, entrepreneurship, education, as well as culture and arts.
