HULU SELANGOR, July 6 — Over 300 visitors attended the Jualan Ehsan Carnival in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha at Jalan Kantan 2, Bukit Beruntung this morning.

The figure was based on the number of RM5 discount coupons sponsored by Batang Kali state constituency coordinating officer Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad that was distributed at 9.30am, half an hour after the sale carnival opened its door to the public.

A SelangorKini survey found that people started queuing as early as 8.30am before the sale items were placed on the stall tables.

Despite the high number of visitors, the sale carnival programme went smoothly with the help of Malaysia Volunteers Corps Department (Rela) members.

Among the most popular goods include the whole chicken sold for RM15 each and cooking oil packets.

The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) organised the affordable goods sale in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations for four days in a row at five locations, starting yesterday.

The products offered are fresh whole chicken at RM15 each, grade B eggs at RM12 per tray, cooking oil at RM2 per packet, fresh meat at RM35 per kg and frozen fish at RM8 per packet.

The sale carnival that opens from 9am to 2pm also sells rice, glutinous rice, mini ketupat, flour, bottled cooking oil and sugar.
