KUALA LANGAT, July 5 — The Taman Perwira Sijangkang Ramadan bazaar site here today became the focus of shoppers wanting to purchase affordable goods and produce in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.
A Selangorkini survey at the location found that visitors were willing to queue as early as 7.30am even though the Jualan Ehsan sale carnival organised by the Selangor Agriculture Development Corporation (PKPS) started at 9am.
However, the movement of visitors at the sale site went smoothly as a result of the supervision by Malaysian Volunteer Department (Rela) members as well as enforcers from the Kuala Langat Land and District Office (PTD)
Each visitor was also handed a free tote at the entrance to make it easier for them to place their purchases.
Kuala Langat PTD also set up a Smart Selangor mobile revenue counter to make it easier for the public to pay quit rent.
The sale of affordable goods and produce in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration will run for four consecutive days, at five locations starting from today to July 8.
The products offered are fresh whole chicken at RM15 each, grade B eggs at RM12 per tray, cooking oil at RM2 per packet, fresh meat at RM35 per kg and frozen fish at RM8 per packet.
The Jualan Ehsan sale carnival from 9am to 2pm also sells rice, glutinous rice, mini ketupat, flour, bottled cooking oil and sugar.
