PETALING JAYA, July 16 — Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are urged to take advantage of the Selangor Digital Entrepreneur Roadshow to improve sales performance.

Political secretary to the Menteri Besar Juwairiya Zulkifli said the programme exposes participants to ways to increase their income through online platforms.

“The SMEs should leverage this initiative by utilising the latest business technology with a promotion, sales, and marketing strategy geared toward digitalisation.

“So far, about 500 people have taken part in the two roadshow series in Gombak and Batang Kali. This shows that our entrepreneurs want to boost their income and improve their business performance,” she said when met after the launch of the third series of the Selangor Digital Entrepreneur Roadshow, organised by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec), at the Dewan Sivik MBPJ, here today.

The 2022 roadshow series kicked off in March in Gombak with the participation of nine partners, namely PG Mall, EasyStore, Dropee, Lazada, J&T, Yayasan Hijrah Selangor, Selangor Digital e-Supply Chain (Seldec), Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and Shopee.

Sidec is also actively pursuing several key initiatives such as the e-Commerce Class programme, e-Bazaar Campaign, Selangor SME Digitalisation Matching Grant and Selangor Accelerator Programme.
