SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — Michael Feichtenbeiner has resigned as a head coach of Selangor FC team, after leading the team for half a season.
The club said Michael’s resignation would allow him to focus on Selangor’s football development as the Sport Director, to which he was appointed in 2020.
“The search for a new coach is underway and we will make a further announcement once everything has been finalised.
“Duties are now being handled by assistant coach Nidzam Jamil, who is responsible for the main Selangor football team as a temporary coach for the remaining 2022 Malaysian League season,” Selangor FC said in a statement.
It added the state’s football development, which was initiated by Feichtenbeiner, has discovered many young talents to represent Selangor FC or in the national squad.
“Therefore, we believe the development project should be continued for the sake of this club’s future,” Selangor FC said.
