Free health checks continue in three locations this weekend

SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — The free health screening programme Selangor Saring will continue in three locations this coming weekend, which will be the final installation of the initiative.

Organised by the state government, the programme will be held concurrently for the Kuala Kubu Bharu and Batang Kali state constituencies at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Chuang Rasa on September 3.

On September 4, the programme will take place at Dewan Seri Cempaka in Saujana Impian for Kajang state constituency and Dewan Sri Kundang for Tanjong Sepat.

The Selangor Saring programme is expected to run from 9am until 4pm and those interested to take part may register via the SELangkah mobile app.

The state government has channelled RM3.4 million to ensure the success of Selangor Saring, which would benefit 39,000 people, particularly those with a family history of illnesses, obese individuals, or those leading unhealthy lifestyles.

Physical screening, blood and urine tests, eye, cervical and breast cancer, occult or colorectal faecal blood testing, and prostate tests are all available during the programme, which runs until September 4.
