Free health screening at Sungai Kandis, Bandar Baru Klang constituencies tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Aug 6 — The free health screening programme, Selangor Saring will continue in two state constituencies tomorrow.

The programme in Sungai Kandis constituency will be held at Dewan Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (Shah Alam City Council) Kemuning Utama while for Bandar Baru Klang constituency, it will run at level one of the Klang Parade Shopping Mall.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said registration could be done via the SELangkah application.

“Free health screening for Sungai Kandis and Bandar Baru constituents tomorrow to help early detection of various diseases including heart, kidney, cancer and others,” he said on Facebook.

The state government had allocated RM1.5 million for the implementation of the programme to detect chronic diseases which would benefit 5,000 people, particularly those in the high-risk group.

Since it was launched, the initiative was met with encouraging responses at several venues with the highest participants recorded at Sungai Tua and Gombak Setia state constituencies on July 31.
