Jualan Prihatin Rakyat continues in two locations tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Aug 20 — The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat programme which offers daily necessities at a cheaper price will be continued in two locations in Shah Alam tomorrow.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari in a post on Facebook today said the programme will run concurrently at the Section 7 Mosque and Kampung Melayu Subang here, from 9am until 12pm.

He said a variety of items will be sold, including whole chicken at RM13, cooking oil at RM2.50 per kg, grade B chicken eggs at RM12.50 per tray, beef at RM39 per pack, vegetables and fruits at farm prices, and fish at RM10 per pack.

The programme organised by Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS), started in December last year and will tour 160 locations throughout Selangor, to help alleviate the people’s burden due to rising prices of goods.

On July 25, state executive councillor for agricultural modernisation and agro-based industry Izham Hashim said over 80,000 people in the state have benefitted from the programme.
