SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — The process of land usage to realise the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) will be simplified to ensure the state’s development framework can run smoothly.

Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTGS) director Yusri Zakariah said the department is prepared to cooperate with all parties involved to ensure the Sabak Bernam Development Area (Sabda) and the Integrated Development Region In South Selangor (Idriss) can accomplish their goals.

“The development around Sabak Bernam, Kuala Langat and Sepang will not involve reserve land, but instead will use land by state government subsidiaries, including Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI, the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) or the private sector.

“We will ensure all land dealing processes are made easy, in light of the fact these two projects are greatly beneficial,” he said during PTGS’ monthly meeting at the Selangor State Secretariat Building earlier today.

During the tabling of RS-1 on July 27, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the Sabda project in Sabak Bernam will develop high-value crops using technology, able to generate some RM248 million in revenue yearly.

Similarly, Idriss with a RM1 trillion allocation will help to develop and Kuala Langat, as part of the endeavour to ensure a fair distribution of economic activities across the state

He said RS-1 will take into account the implementation of comprehensive policies, projects and initiatives between the state the Federal governments, in addition to its agenda of dealing with contemporary major global challenges.
