SERDANG, Aug 9 — Over 100,000 visitors have toured the Selangor Pavilion at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agrotourism (2022 Maha) Expo, held at the Malaysian Agriculture Expo Park (Maeps) in Serdang since August 4.

Selangor Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) director Aiada Abdul Rashid said the state’s pavilion has been met with an encouraging response, with various activities being carried including agricultural, crops and livestock technology programmes.

“In fact, we specifically gathered 300 products from 50 entrepreneurs under the Selangor Agro Market here.

“The gathered products were sold using the retail concept, thus helping the entrepreneurs to market their products,” she told SelangorKini.

Earlier on, the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Haj Shah, the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin and the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah graced the Selangor Pavilion at about 9.15pm.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad also accompanied the royal family.

The 2022 MAHA, running from August 4 to August 14, is the largest and most prestigious agricultural exhibition in Malaysia bringing together 1,500 exhibitors with a potential sales value of over RM250 million.
A total of eight parks on agriculture and animal husbandry are being showcased, in addition to another 22 segments with their own attractions.
