SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has invited Selangor and Klang Valley residents to come and attend the state-level 65th National Day celebrations tomorrow.

He said the programme at Dataran Shah Alam will feature various interesting events including parades and performances by artists.

“We will also announce figures of Independence who are appreciated by the state government. Come one, come all to the square from 4.30pm to 12pm.

“Let us unite in conjunction with the 65th Independence Day,” Amirudin said, after officiating the closing ceremony of the Bulan Falak Selangor 2022 programme organised by the Selangor Mufti’s Department at De Palma Hotel earlier today.

During the festivities, the Menteri Besar is expected to announce positive news for Selangor residents, to help them in facing economic challenges and inflation.

The programme tomorrow will also feature noted singers Black Hanifah and Ernie Zakri performing, as well as various cultural dances and choir singing.

A silent parade and unarmed combat performance will also be on display, along with the Anak Harapan Selangor parade, a fireworks show and food sales.

A group prayer will also be conducted, led by Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin at 4.45pm.

The theme of the National Day celebrations in Selangor this year is ‘Kita Selangor Teguh Bersama‘, reflecting the togetherness and courage of its people at various levels in dealing with the myriad of challenges.
