MBSJ invites residents to participate in Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya event tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, 6 Aug — Subang Jaya residents are invited to participate in the Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya event organised by the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) at Jalan Kemajuan in front of Subang Parade shopping mall tomorrow.

MBSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said the programme, which was rebranded from its Car Free Day, will start from 7.30am to 11am featuring various interesting activities.

“This programme is held every Sunday on the first week of each month to inculcate a healthy lifestyle and reduce carbon dioxide release in the city,” he said in a statement today.

Among activities planned for the event include aerobics, leisure cycle and run, food fiestas, a talk show with Subang Jaya mayor, a street soccer clinic, busker’s performance and free health checks.

Azfarizal said MBSJ will close and divert traffic in several areas along Jalan Kemajuan in Subang Jaya starting from the Jengka interchange to the Persiaran Kemajuan interchange as well as part of Jalan SS16/1 starting from Persiaran Kemajuan interchange to Persiaran Jengka.
