GOMBAK, Aug 2 — Media Selangor won three awards at the Tourism Selangor Media Appreciation Night 2022 yesterday.
The first award was for the Best Media Coverage: Malay Category which was won by SelangorKini editor Afeeqa Afeera Abdul Rasol.
Selangor TV social media reporter Norhayati Umor won the Best Social Media Content: TikTok.
While SelangorKini reporter Zareef Muzammil won the Best Mass Media Journalist award.
The awards and certificates of appreciation were presented by state executive councillor for tourism Hee Loy Sian.
More than 150 media practitioners attended the event that was held at the Commonwealth Forest Eco Park Resort here.
Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Azrul Shah Mohamad said the media practitioners were also taken on a familiarisation tour of the place.
“Thank you to all media practitioners for your help as well as support in highlighting the efforts and initiatives taken by the state government, especially Tourism Selangor on the tourism sector.
“Today we celebrate in recognition of the cooperation and contribution made by the media through their news reports on Tourism Selangor,” he said at the event.
A total of 26 awards were presented at the ceremony which was held to recognise the cooperation and contribution given by the media in covering news on the tourism sector in Selangor.
