Morib constituency allocated RM80,000 for needy schools since start of year

SHAH ALAM, Aug 17 — An estimated RM80,000 has been allocated by the Morib state constituency, which has been distributed to 22 needy schools from January to August this year.

Its state assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin said the schools include national schools, religious primary schools and private schools in and around Morib.

He said each school received different levels of funding, starting from RM2,000 up to RM10,000, depending on the applying school and its qualifications.

“The purpose of providing these monies is to ease the school management’s repair costs, organise programmes, or carry out Parent-Teacher Association meetings.

“We hope these donations will ease the schools’ burden, to an extent, as well as provide some comfort to the students in their studies,” Hasnul said to SelangorKini.

He added that any school requiring cash assistance may contact 03-3180 2191, or personally come to the Morib state constituency’s community service centre.
