Motac: No agents appointed for grant applications

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 10 — The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) has not appointed any individual or organisation as an agent in applying for the Tourism, Arts and Culture Matching Grant (GPPSB).

The ministry clarified this in a statement today in light of information received that there are individuals claiming to have been appointed as agents for grant applications under the ministry.

Motac said that eligible parties could apply directly for GPPSB in accordance with the conditions set through the address of: Urus Setia Geran Padanan Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya, Lembaga Penggalakan Pelacongan Malaysia (Tourism Malaysia), Bahagian Perancangan Strategik, Aras 2, No.2, Menara 1, Jalan P5/6, Presint 5, 62200 Putrajaya.

According to Motac, interested parties can also make an application via email to [email protected].

GPPSB is a government initiative through Motac to encourage the industry players from various sectors and backgrounds of organising high-impact tourism, arts and cultural events this year to re-instate Malaysia as a top tourism destination.

GPPSB is divided into two, namely, the Tourism Sector Matching Grant (GSSP) and Cultural Sector Matching Grant (GSSK) with a total budget of RM50 million, aimed at invigorating and revitalising the tourism and culture sectors that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
