SHAH ALAM, Aug 24 — Over 4,000 entrepreneurs have received benefits from Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) through its business financing scheme involving almost RM70 million.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the state government has allocated RM120 million under the 2022 Selangor Budget for the specific purpose of financing entrepreneurs, and creating a new scheme under Hijrah Selangor which provides loans of up to RM100,000.

“Assistance to Selangor entrepreneurs is guaranteed in order to drive the state’s economy and create more job opportunities,” he said on Facebook.

He said the state government was pleased to see the entrepreneurs’ determination in expanding their businesses and will continue to create relevant schemes for them.

According to Amirudin, the state government will also continue to provide assistance and evaluate feedback received to improve its existing programmes for entrepreneurs.

“The more successful entrepreneurs we create, the more prosperous this state will be,” he said.

Hijrah Selangor’s new financing schemes include i-Bisnes, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI), Go Digital, i-Lestari, i-Agro and i-Bermusim, all of which are aimed at empowering entrepreneurs in Selangor.
