RS-1: Landasan Lumayan committed to ensure Selangor meets its target

SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB) is committed to doing its share in ensuring that the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) succeeds in improving the state’s economy, society, government and sustainability.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI, LLSB stated that it intends to carry out the responsibilities outlined in the RS-1 by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

“LLSB was tasked with setting the standard for the infrastructural and socioeconomic development for the Economic Development Zone of the Selangor Maritime Gateway (ZPE SMG), which has been identified as one of the economic corridors.

“The objectives are to attract more investments for infrastructure projects to address Pulau Indah’s water supply and flood issues in addition to cleaning Sungai Klang as part of the environmental restoration efforts,” it said in a statement.

LLSB said given that the ZPE SMG would be focusing on the Klang Valley, the efforts would be one of the main contributors to the state’s gross domestic product (GDP).

“We will work to ensure the ZPE SME would assist the state government in achieving the RS-1’s objective og having Selangor contribute 30 per cent of the nation’s GDP by 2025,” it said.

During the tabling of the RS-1 on July 27, Amirudin said the state government had identified several regions that would be developed under the Region Development Plan (Clusterisation), which also includes the Sabak Bernam Development Area (Sabda) and the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (Idriss).
