RS-1 management plan to provide best service for the people

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SHAH ALAM, Aug 19 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1) is a management plan by the state that is aimed at providing the best services for the people.

Taman Templer state assemblyman Mohd Sany Hamzan said the five-year plan will manage all aspects of the state, especially those related to the people’s lives.

“The state leadership now have to look at the next five to 10 years on what needs to be developed in the state by using the best comprehensive management method.

“Selangor which mirrors Malaysia (achievements) has to look into all aspects such as food sources, health, education, religion, environment and employment. These are the things that we need to manage in human life,” he said.

He said this during the Skop talk show on RS-1 broadcast live on SelangorTV Youtube and Media Selangor Facebook on August 16.

Mohd Sany said RS-1 which was passed in Selangor State Legislative Assembly on August 2, was proof of the success of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) led government in Selangor.

“The uniqueness of it is that it was passed with support from all state assemblymen including the opposition. Because usually the opposition will oppose, but strangely when it comes to RS-1 all the representatives approved and raised their hands.

“This shows the success of the leadership by the PH-led Selangor government when the opposition also agreed to implement RS-1,” he said.

RS-1 which was tabled by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari was passed on August 2 with support from assemblymen after it was discussed for three days,

The plan takes into account the implementation aspects of the comprehensive policies, projects and initiatives between the state and the Federal government.

He said Selangor’s efforts will not set aside the five-year planning under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) which is still ongoing and bringing an impact to the state.

RS-1’s development has four strategic themes, namely strengthening the economy, ensuring social inclusivity and the people’s wellbeing, driving environmental sustainability, and providing good and effective governance.
