SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) will incorporate new elements into its programmes to ensure the success of the First Selangor Plan (RS-1).
Its chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping said a number of high-impact initiatives, such as the Selangor e-Commerce Education, have been actively advancing the digital economy.
He said other programmes include the Selangor Digital Entrepreneurs Roadshow, the Selangor e-Bazaar campaigns and the Selangor SME Digitalisation Matching Grant.
Yong said that the initiatives were made particularly to help SME business owners grow their enterprises and raise digital awareness.
“Sidec will upgrade our programmes by including fresh aspects into the digital sphere to make sure RS-1 achieves its objective. This is due to the quick-paced evolution of the trends in online commerce,” he said.
The RS-1, which was introduced on July 27 and has a total cost of RM212.44 billion, includes RM92.44 billion set aside for state-level development projects, including the establishment of many incentives to safeguard the welfare of the people.
The five-year planning would also take into account the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP), which is still in progress and having an impact on the state.
