Selangor Sultan officiates Destar multipurpose hall in Subang Jaya

SUBANG JAYA, Aug 4 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj graced the opening of Dewan Serbaguna Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (Destar) in USJ 1, here today.

The event was also graced by the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.

The Destar multipurpose hall, over 5,000 sq ft, is partly managed by the NGO Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (Ractar).

It can accommodate 300 guests at any one time including weddings, corporate events, anniversaries and seminars.

Meanwhile, Ractar president Tengku Puteri Nor Zehan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah said the income generated from the hall rental will be fully channelled to the NGO and other charity organisations.

“In that regard, we invite the corporate sector and private companies to work together to help more children in welfare homes,” she said.
