Selangor Sultan officiates DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — The opening of the new DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam was officiated by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj earlier today.

The arrival of His Royal Highness along with the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin at 11am in i-City was met by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and Hilton (Southeast Asia) senior operation director Jamie Mead.

Earlier, Sultan Sharafuddin was feted to a variety of cultural performances and three montage videos featuring i-City, DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam and Hilton’s corporate video.

According to Mead, the 21-storey hotel consists of 300 luxurious suites equipped with digital locks and a panoramic view of i-City.

He said the hotel also provides various facilities including 12 multipurpose meeting rooms, an infinity pool, a swimming pool, bar, spa, gymnasium, various eateries including the Makan Kitchen and Tosca, as well as a grand ballroom.

“I am happy to say that we have vastly expanded with 13 operational properties in Malaysia, with the latest one being the DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam.

“Therefore, we welcome guests to the hotel and promise to give our best services for their satisfaction,” Mead said in his speech.

DoubleTree by Hilton has six hotels under its portfolio, namely in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya Lakeside, Johor Bahru, Melaka, Penang and Shah Alam.
