SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — The asset upgrading and maintenance works on the Sungai Rasa Water Treatment Plant has been met with a slight delay on site, according to Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.
It said the works are expected to be completed by 12am on Wednesday, August 10.
“However, the delay in work implementation will not affect the full water supply recovery to the affected consumers in 188 areas in the Hulu Selangor region.
“Water supply will be distributed in stages to the consumers at 1am on August 10, once the upgrading and maintenance works are completed, and the water supply distribution system has been stabilised,” Air Selangor said in a statement.
The water supply is still expected to fully recover at by 1am on August 11.
“Air Selangor will continue to mobilise the alternative water supply via water tankers to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises including hospitals, dialysis centres and funeral parlour,” it said.
Consumers can obtain information on the scheduled water supply disruption from time to time via Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.
