KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — Residents in 188 areas of the Hulu Selangor district are advised to store sufficient water in light of the temporary water supply disruption from August 9 to August 11.
The disruption is due to the scheduled asset upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Rasa Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the works will commence at 9am on August 9, with the water supply expected to fully recover by 1am on August 11.
“Consumers are advised to make the necessary preparations. Store enough water for the whole household and make sure all water storage containers are covered,” it said in a Facebook post on August 5.
The agency said it will mobilise water tankers to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises including hospitals, clinics as well as dialysis centres and funerals.
Consumers can obtain information on scheduled water supply disruptions from time to time through Air Selangor’s official communication channels including the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or contact Air Selangor at 15300.
Questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com and on the Air Selangor app.
