Water tankers deployed to to affected areas in Hulu Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — Water tankers are being mobilised to the affected areas in Hulu Selangor following the scheduled asset upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Rasa Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the priority is given to critical premises including hospitals, clinics as well as dialysis centres and funerals.

Starting from 9am today users in 188 areas of the Hulu Selangor district will experience temporary water supply disruption, with the water supply expected to fully recover by 1am on August 11.

“Consumers are advised to make the necessary preparations. Store enough water for the whole household and make sure all water storage containers are covered,” it said in a Facebook post on August 5.

Consumers can obtain information on scheduled water supply disruptions from time to time through Air Selangor’s official communication channels including the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or contact Air Selangor at 15300.

Questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com and on the Air Selangor app.
