SHAH ALAM, Sept 3 — The 2022 Selangor Entrepreneur Expo (Selbiz) organised by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is seen as the best medium to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to improve their businesses.
PKNS deputy chief executive officer (Corporate and Entrepreneurship) Suhaimi Kasdom said the expo would also help them to open up networks at a higher level, as well as open prospects of market penetration with industry players from various sectors.
“This expo will help increase business networking for PKNS entrepreneurs through a business networking approach on a business-to-business (B2B) basis.
“2022 SELBIZ also provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs and the public to get information directly from entrepreneurial agencies involved in the events, including the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), Halal Street UK, Tekun Nasional, Selangor Digital e-Supply Chain (Seldec) and anchor companies such as Malakat Mall and Northport (Malaysia) Berhad,” he added.
Suhaimi was speaking at the opening of the 2022 SELBIZ Expo by state executive councillor for housing, urban wellbeing and entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail, at the Shah Alam Convention Centre here today.
He said various efforts were being made by PKNS to develop the capability and empowerment of entrepreneurs in Selangor, especially for them to go to a higher level.
This is in line with one of the objectives of PKNS, which is to develop the Bumiputera commercial and industrial community, Suhaimi added.
PKNS is targeting transactions worth up to RM5 million and 10,000 visitors to the two-day expo which opened today.
