SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — The third meeting of the fifth term of the 14th Selangor State Legislative Assembly will see the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget and the Anti-Party Hopping Enactment Bill when it takes place from the end of next month until early November.

State Legislative Assembly Secretary J.K. Gayathri Prasena said the meeting will take place in three stages, beginning on October 28.

“The meeting on Friday, October 28, 2022, will commence at 3pm, and will focus on the tabling of the Budget by the Menteri Besar,” she said in a statement.

The second stage will run from October 31 to November 4, while the third stage will run from November 7 to November 10.

“The meetings will begin at 10am to 1pm, and then continue from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. On Fridays, it will start at 9.30am until 12pm, and continue from 3pm to 5.30pm.

“Male attendees and officers must wear dark lounge suits, while female attendees and officers must be dressed politely and in dark blazers. The dress code must be observed throughout the duration of the state legislative assembly’s meeting,” said Gayathri.

On July 29, Assembly Speaker Ng Suee Lim said the tabling of the Anti-Party Hopping Enactment Bill will make the Constitution (Amendment) Bill (No 3) 2022, which was passed on July 28 by the Dewan Rakyat, as a reference to avoid any contradictions.
