KDEBWM, MPHS collect nearly 80 tonnes of illegally dumped waste

SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) has collected 78.38 tonnes of illegally dumped rubbish during a nine-day clean-up operation since September 13.

The agency informed the joint operation with Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) was conducted at the Kenanga Industrial area in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang.

“A total of 33 RoRo (Roll-on, Roll-off) bins from KDEBWM and two backhoes from MPHS were used during the clean-up operation.

“A total of 78.38 tonnes of rubbish were collected and removed during the operation. Let us continue to help in preserving a clean environment and become more aware of the illegal rubbish dumping issue,” it said on Facebook.

KDEBWM also invited members of the public to lodge complaints through the iClean Selangor app if there is any illegal rubbish dumping in their area.

The app can be downloaded via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
