SUBANG JAYA, Sept 4 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) plans to organise the Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya (Good Morning Subang Jaya) programme in several other locations next year.

Its mayor Dato’ Johari Anuar said Seri Kembangan, Serdang, and Bandar Kinrara are among the proposed locations to meet the needs of the local communities.

“Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya is held for the second time this month. If it is well received, we will also host it in other locations.

“We would like the programme to reach more people. This could also help MBSJ to examine and evaluate the infrastructure in the local areas,” he said at a press conference after attending the Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya programme, here today.

Earlier, more than 1,500 local residents had participated in the programme, which is held on each Sunday of the month.

The programme held at Jalan Kemajuan in front of Subang Parade was rebranded as Car-Free Day, which started from 7.30am until 11am.

The events include leisure cycling, street soccer, health screenings, cooking demonstrations, colouring contests, and food sales.
