AMPANG JAYA, Sept 17 — The Jualan Ehsan Rakyat (JER) affordable goods sale programme organised by the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) in nine locations throughout the state has managed to achieve approximately RM216,000 in sales value per day.
Its senior marketing manager Mohd Fazir Abdul Latif said the figure was derived from the sale of 300 units for each product in all locations
“We bring 300 units of each product per location, and if all these items are sold out then each area will have achieved RM24,000 in sales.
“Usually all the items will run out, at the most around 20 to 30 bottles of cooking oil will be left at the end of the sale in each location. Goods including chicken, fish, eggs, rice and beef have always been sold out,” he said.
Mohd Fazir was speaking to SelangorKini after reviewing the JER programme at Taman Ampang Indah, earlier today.
The state government has allocated RM10 million for the continuation of the programme in all 56 state constituencies, running from August 31 to December 31.
PKPS’ programme is aimed at assisting the public in coping with rising living costs and has benefitted over 80,000 since its inception in December last year.
