SHAH ALAM, Sept 5 — A total of 16,565 small business owners and hawkers had singed up for the Selangor Platform (Plats) programme as of August 31.
The agency said that in August alone, an increase of more than 2,000 participations from 14,517 in July were recorded, which was due to the collaboration with the Selangor Digital Partner (RDS) ambassadors.
“As of August 31, Plats was able to register some 16,565 traders on our platform with the help of the RDS ambassador, who above and beyond to locate small traders in Selangor.
“To all other traders and hawkers out there, come and join Plats for free,” the agency said on Facebook.
Plats was introduced during Ramadan of 2020 following the Covid-19 outbreak as well as to complete the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem.
On April 11 last year, Plats 2.0 was launched to help traders to continuously generate income, instead of limiting the programme during the Ramadan fasting month.
The third installation of the digital platform had continued this year in April, which involved collaborations with RDS, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), and 12 local authorities.
